Brickwood Galuteria for State Senate District 12

Dear Neighbors and Friends,

Aloha! My name is Brickwood M. Galuteria, candidate for Hawaii State Senate District 12. Over the next several months I’ll be corresponding with you, asking for your vote and sharing my values and views on issues that affect District 12 and greater Hawaii.

Born and raised in District 12 (Waikiki, Ala Moana, Kakaako, Downtown, Kalihi-Palama), the southern shores served as my childhood playground. I’ve spent more than 30 professional years in Waikiki and metropolitan Honolulu. My wife Lehua and I raised our family at Kukui Gardens in Palama, on the mauka side of District 12. We currently reside in the Downtown area and our District continues to serve as a place of work, play and worship. In the ensuing months I look forward to sharing more of my story and invite you to visit www.Brickwood08.com for more information about my candidacy. I think you’ll find our website informative, interactive and enjoyable. It also offers opportunities for you to support Brickwood ‘08.

Friends, this is an exciting time to be a candidate! Hawaii is poised to claim a share of the national spotlight when our island son, Illinois Senator Barack Obama accepts the Democratic Party nomination for President of the United States. As a former Democratic State Party Chairman, I’m thrilled with the possibilities. Regardless of party affiliation, all Hawaii residents share the pride of knowing that Senator Obama is going where no other “local boy” has ever gone before. That feeling, in and of itself, has changed our political landscape and now the looming horizon needs new leadership. I offer a choice, and want to serve Hawaii as your Senator. I am asking for your vote and support. Join me in our journey to build leadership, restore strong representation of State Senate District 12, and help shape a better Hawaii.

Malama and Aloha.
Sincerely yours,
Brickwood M. Galuteria
